Ela Architects Inc retained by the owner as a prime consultant and the lead architect for this project. Ela Architects involvement for the project started before acquiring the land and continued for preparing for zoning-by-law application, site plan approval application, building permit application and construction stage services.

A geothermal system will be implemented in place of a conventional heating and cooling system in order to reduce the carbon footprint of building & annual operating costs. Solar panels will be placed on the rooftop. From a sustainability perspective integrating solar into the buildings helps to achieve a true triple bottom line outcome, lowering costs, increasing returns, and demonstrating leadership by lowering the buildings environmental footprint. Mass timber superstructure is one of the options for the super structure. The building is expected to be a signature building in the region.
